It's easy to turn your throw away snapshots into timeless treasures on canvas. Send, or bring me, a photograph. I doesn't have to be a great photograph. Maybe it's out of focus, or you can only see half of the figure, or you see the subjects from behind. It doesn't matter. A lot of unlikely photographs make wonderful oil paintings. What matters is that it recalls a wonderful moment; the day the camera caught your children hunkered down to examine the wonders of a ladybug, or your grandchild's' glee on the arc of a swing. It could be a candid shot of your grandmother on her balcony, or your mother, the first time she held a grandchild. It might even be a group of small boys ambling along the shore on their first field trip. It can be anything. |

Once you have an idea of what you want, I'll do a sketch to give both of us an idea of the size and complexity of the project. You may decide that all you really want is a drawing. But if you decide to go ahead with an oil painting, we'll discuss the final details and arrive at a firm fee, and either way, the preliminary sketch is yours. Commissions begin at $1,000.00 and may go up depending on the complexity of the painting and the number of figures involved. Except in extremely rare cases, the size of the canvas is not a factor in the cost. After we've chosen the subject and the snapshot, a $300.00 deposit secures the sketch. That deposit is applied to the cost of the oil painting. A payment of 50% of the agreed upon price |

is required to confirm the final commission. The balance, including applicable taxes and shipping, is due prior to shipment.
